Senior Advisor

Ms. Hinds worked in the public sector for the cities of Freeport and Wood Dale, IL. In her most recent position, she was the Community and Economic Development Director for the City of Freeport. Her duties included responsibility for the City’s Comprehensive Plan and supervising zoning regulations. She also represented the City before the community, public agencies and community organizations, and managed the department’s budget.

Ms. Hinds previously served as the Assistant to the City Manager where she managed commerce and economic opportunity grants. In 2019, she was awarded an ICMA Local Government Management Fellowship. Ms. Hinds holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and Interdepartmental Business Studies from the University of Iowa, and a Master of Public Administration from Northern Illinois University.
