Senior Advisor
Ms. Meyer worked in the public sector for 36 years specializing in community development and organizational leadership. She was the Community Economic Development Director for the City of Walnut Creek for eleven years where she also rose through the ranks from Associate Planner, Senior Planner, and then Planning Manager over the course of 20 years. Prior to that, she worked as an Associate Planner for the City of Fairfield for five years. Her experience includes the management and processing of complex development projects, coordination of planning efforts with economic development objectives, downtown and business park revitalization projects, development of service process improvements, and organizational effectiveness and program evaluations.
Among the many projects and programs she managed was a four year comprehensive General Plan update, a multi-year Housing Element Update and a Development Services Process Improvement Plan to guide enhancement of the development services experience in Walnut Creek.
Ms. Meyer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Planning and Management from the University of California, Davis.
